Recipient of the Leo Gershoy Award in the fields of 17th- and 18th-century western European history by the American Historical Association

“Margaret Schotte’s book, Sailing School (John Hopkins, 2019) has been awarded the Leo Gershoy Award in the fields of 17th- and 18th-century western European history by the American Historical Association.

The prize honours “the author of the most outstanding work published in English on any aspect of the fields of 17th- and 18th-century western European history”.

Sailing School is now a multiple-award winning Sailing School by Margaret Schottebook, as it has already garnered the John Lyman Book Award in Naval and Maritime Science and Technology by the North American Society for Oceanic History.
